Album Description
Post is the second studio album by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk, released in 1995. Following her critically acclaimed debut album Debut, Post expands her experimental approach to pop music, combining electronic beats, orchestral arrangements, industrial textures, and jazz influences into a distinctive and adventurous sound.
Produced by Björk alongside collaborators including Nellee Hooper, Tricky, Graham Massey, and Howie B, the album explores themes of love, independence, emotional vulnerability, and personal transformation. Inspired partly by her experiences living in London, Post captures the energy and unpredictability of urban life through its diverse musical styles and imaginative production.
Featuring standout tracks such as “Army of Me,” “Hyperballad,” “It's Oh So Quiet,” “Isobel,” and “Possibly Maybe,” the album moves effortlessly between powerful electronic rhythms, intimate ballads, and cinematic orchestration.
